“SHREDDED” II

Materials: two custom vinyl records, prepared turntable

Duration: 9 minutes, 4 seconds

February, 2020, I shredded some books that I had published that I had been hauling around the country with me. The shreds fell onto a record that I had pressed in 2010, whose remaining 100-some copies I had also been hauling around the country. I recorded the sounds of this event, and pressed another single record from that recording.

February 2021, I stacked these records, playing echoes of themselves.
