Shredding

Materials: reconstituted Place books, one Ashveville 7” vinyl record, turntable, two paper shredders

Duration: 5 minutes 10 seconds / ∞

This work was possible because of the assistance of Joshua Hoglund.

Even after multiple copies of a book are shredded onto a record, the record does not stop playing.

The needle forges forward towards the center, never reaching its destination,

occasionally being knocked backwards by the shifting of the paper shreds as they settle.
